June 6th 2009:  My mom (a 19 year survivor) and her husband Tom were in town from Florida for my
daughter Amanda's graduation.  Entering the race was a last minute idea and we only registered the
week before , but we had a great time. Some tears were shed and some laughs were had as well!  This
was a very inspiring event; to name a few highlights: This was the Inaugural GLOBAL RACE FOR THE
CURE with 50,000 people in attendance; the first survivor to cross the finish line was a MALE SURVIVOR;
the hundreds of men running with dedications to their moms on their backs, lots of people with more
than one dedication, mothers who have lost daughters, the countless number of survivors running or
walking with huge support groups and the many, many, many teams!  WOW!
Next year we have plans to be back and will be walking or running as "Charlie's Pink Angels".  WE  hope
to have our other family members and lots of friends join us!
Mark your calendars: June 5th, 2010!
Register today and join the team "Charlie's Pink Angels"!
